Beyond the Boards

The Beyond The Boards Program is the NHL Alumni’s grassroots charitable initiative committed to improving the lives of families and children throughout North America.  We achieve this by bringing together former NHL players in community activities, with the goal of inspiring today's youth through positive sports images and building a better foundation for our youth.

Our community involvement is focused on the following areas:

• providing opportunities for greater participation in the great game of hockey
• support children's education, health and wellness initiatives, specifically those that serve the underprivileged, unhealthy or handicapped
• provide support to non-profit organizations that provide vital services to those in need in our communities throughout North America

The NHL Alumni Association has become a place where a player's drive for excellence and achievement on the rink could continue long after he took his last steps off the ice and “Beyond The Boards”.  

Our program is a charitable, tax exempt, qualified non-profit in both the United States and Canada.  Without the support of our donors and members, the NHL Alumni Association would not be able to promote the game and raise funds to support important charitable causes. Gifts may be deductible to the extent permitted by law. Please consult your attorney or tax advisor for details. All gifts, regardless of size, are welcomed.
