Hockey Cares

The Hockey Cares Program was developed by the NHL Alumni to foster giving among our members and give assistance to those members devoted to philanthropy.  The NHL Alumni and our members take to heart the mission of enhancing the quality of life for children across North America.  The focus of the Hockey Cares program extends to our members that are dedicated towards working with at-risk or troubled youth, improving the self-esteem of children and developing our leaders of tomorrow.  Given the vast numbers of players in our organization our vision is to enable our members to create meaningful and lasting change in their local communities.  

At the NHL Alumni, we provide support to our members in cultivating and supporting their philanthropic goals.  We promote best practices and give support in technical, legal, strategic planning and management services.  This allows our members to do what they do best becoming a philanthropic role-model in their respective communities whether giving of time, talent or money.
